Now let us know more about the life of this legend;
Jobs was born on february 24,1955 to Joanne Carole Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali but later on he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs
He was a bright student in his elementary school and his intelligence is far more ahead from the children of his age group.So, his teachers and parents decided that he should skip a grade.Jobs has always a great interest in electronics.When he was just 12 years old he made his first computer and presented it in a meeting in Silicon Valley.In 1972 Jobs and his friend(while they were in college)decided to travel to India because it is the birthplace of Buddhism and both of them were studying Buddhism in college.The trip, and some later psychological therapy, seemed to change Jobs. One friend told Jeffrey S. Young, author of the Jobs biography The Journey is the Reward, “He was a lot easier to be with after that. He started to think a little more about how things he said might affect other people.”
BIRTH OF APPLE
While Jobs was working at Atari,Jobs and one of his old friend Wozniak went to a meeting and then Wozniak started building computers.That time most of people saw computers just as hobby,Jobs saw in computers the potential to change world.He convinced Wozniak and they started building computers that other would buy.
They both started building laptops in Jobs’ family garage.Wozniak job was to improve technology and Jobs took charge to manage the marketing and convinced people to make softwares for their computers.Wozniak designed inside of the computers whereas Jobs designed the exterior of computers to make them more sleek and elegant.
The sales of Apple grew steadily the following years and soon become a huge success.But in-between his success he developed a reputation for having a large ego for always doing the things his own way.Many times this resulted in companies success like in the time of Macintosh or “Mac” and many times failures as well like “Lisa”.
In 1985, Jobs was the chairman of Apple’s board of directors. He shared control of the company with John Sculley.But in the following months company faced many difficulties due to its old products and one day Jobs and Sculley argued over company’s struggles.Finally Sculley asserted his authority and reorganised company due to which Jobs lost it’s power.So, in September , he finally resigned.
NEXT AND PIXAR
After he left Apple,he wasted no time starting his new company “NEXT”. This company also made computers and design softwares . He took several emplopyees of Apple with him to his new company.Jobs mainly targeted the education system through his new company.In 1986, he also bought a computer animation company “Pixar” from filmmaker George Lucas. Jobs was the most dynamic executive in the silicon valley.
After a few months later he returned to Apple as consultant and received a standing ovation at a convent for mac users and programmers.When he returned,he was not demanding as before but he still possessed what some journalists called the “Reality Distortion Field”: his ability to make others believe even his wildest ideas were possible.
